Mel B has confirmed she and fellow Spice Girls singer Geri Halliwell (now Geri Horner) had a short fling while speaking with Piers Morgan for his Life Stories TV series.

When pressed about the topic repeatedly, Mel confessed:

“She is going to hate me for this because she is all posh with her country house and her husband, but it’s a fact. But it wasn’t a thing, it just happened and we just giggled at it and that was it.”

When Piers asked how frequently they slept together, Mel said it was just one time.

She added that the public would definitely be interested to know the pair had a fling.

Mel C, who was in the audience as the show was recorded, said, “This is all new to me.”

With Mel B adding, “I have said it now. All done… She’s going to kill me.”

The news comes as the Spice Girls (minus Posh Spice, Victoria Beckham) begin rehearsals for their UK tour in a fortnight.

In 1998 when Geri decided to leave the Spice Girls, it was believed to be due to fights with Mel B with reports the pair is now fighting over the outfits for the new tour.

Daily Mail reports Geri wants to wear more demure outfits, while Mel reportedly favours the skimpy outfits of the 90s.

Piers questioned Mel B about her sexuality and the singer replied:

“You fall in love with whoever you fall in love with. I just don’t have a preference.

“I had a great experience with a woman for five years and that showed me that there are other options out there.

“My mum will tell you [that period] was one of the happiest times she has ever seen me.”

Let’s hope this doesn’t make things awkward for the group going forward!
